In 2002, Donna Thomas and Paul Garstki made an award-winning documentary about Steven Wise, shortly after the release of his groundbreaking book, "Rattling the Cage." Following Steve and a number of chimpanzees, both in captivity and in the rainforest of Aftrica, A Legal Person laid out the foundation for the next step in animal rights. Now, as Steven Wise's Non-human Rights Project brings the first cases to court, Donna and Paul have recut the original film for a new online release.
